Pink Parcel People: Lucy, Partner Relations Assistant
Each week we’ll be bringing you an insight into the people behind Pink Parcel. This week, we speak to one of our Partner Relations Assistants, Lucy.
What do you do at Pink?
I work in the Partner Relations team with the lovely Bex & Elisha to bring our subscribers all of their goodies in our For You boxes. The role includes everything from building strong relationships with partners and sampling make-up and chocolate, to getting involved with our new exciting launch, betty.
What’s the best bit of your job?
Getting to know and meet all of our wonderful partners. I also love seeing everyone’s lovely comments about the parcels on social – it’s so rewarding!
What’s the trickiest thing?
Making sure everyone’s happy. We have lots of different women to cater for, so getting the perfect balance is sometimes challenging.
Tell us about an achievement that stands out during your time at the company…
Our exclusive partners event in Soho is definitely up there – it was a great team bonding day and getting to meet all of our partners and to watch them all get to know each other was such a great feeling.
What’s the favourite product you’ve discovered through your monthly box?
We’ve got some amazing products coming up, but my all time favourite has got to be our Pink Parcel ‘I Love Naps’ Eye Mask from our February 2016 parcel – I can’t sleep without it & the lavender scent is divine!
On Fridays at PP HQ we have team pizzas. What’s your favourite topping?
The BBQ Chicken & Bacon Pizza with Mozzarella is pretty good.
How did you get your job?
I studied History at uni and have worked in the heritage sector for a few years, but I’ve been a Pink Parcel subscriber since practically day one and it was (and still is) always something I’d love receiving every month. I found out that my mum’s best friend Jacqui (our Customer Service’s & HR Manager) actually worked there. She put in a good word for me, and here I am!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to follow your career path?
Do something you love and work hard to achieve your goals. Good organisation skills are essential and high levels of communication on emails, phone calls and meetings are key to building strong and long-lasting partnerships.
