How I Make It Work: Carolyn from Fudge Kitchen
Our small business series shines a spotlight on the many exciting and entrepreneurial partners we champion at Pink Parcel – all in the name of making your box better every month, of course. This week, we spoke to Carolyn Boyd, Business Development Manager at Fudge Kitchen.
Subscribers will have discovered the brand in past Pink Parcel boxes. Made from natural ingredients, Fudge Kitchen produce gourmet fudge in small, hand decorated batches. Their fudge is made with fresh whipping cream – making it uniquely creamy and smooth.
If I had to sum up the brand in a sentence? I’d say we offer devilishly different, indulgent gourmet treats.
It all started around 35 years ago. Our owner and Managing Director, Sian, met an American who made incredible fudge on big marble slabs. We brought his ‘See it Made’ concept to the UK together and then in time Sian bought the company from him and expanded it, through innovative product development and great customer service.
Today we are producers, retailers and wholesalers of the most premium fudge in the UK. We supply many high end retailers and customers in hospitality and other sectors.
Innovation remains at our core. We recently expanded our production capabilities into a variety of other confections.
We are proud to supply three different fudge options to Pink Parcel. It started in 2015, when Rebecca from Pink Parcel was interested in our drinking fudge range as an alternative to the tea brands featured. Since then we have supplied our dipped sticks, treats and fudge bits – as well as the drinking fudge!
Be flexible but stick to your principles to succeed. Have faith in your instincts and never read the small print. Don’t be afraid to seek advice.
