Pink Parcel People: Elle, Marketing Assistant
Each week we’ll be bringing you an insight into the people behind Pink Parcel. This week, we speak to our Marketing Assistant, Elle.
What do you do at Pink?
I help manage and oversee most of the marketing at Pink Parcel, with my amazing manager, Aly! GO TEAM! It can be arranging promotional events, assessing the results of campaigns we have done and communicating with clients. Making everything go to plan.
What’s the best bit of your job?
I have worked with the company for about a year now and I can definitely say that receiving positive feedback from our subscribers, is the best bit of the job! It makes everything pay off.
What’s the trickiest thing?
Getting rid of the endless supply of tampons I have in my room! I must have enough for the next 10 years.
Tell us about an achievement that stands out during your time at the company…
I started off working in the warehouse, when there was a team of 4! Since then, I have had the best opportunity to try different career paths and work with really driven people. We have grown substantially in the past year and it is so lovely to see the number of subscribers go up!
What’s the favourite product you’ve discovered through your monthly box?
The Amie Moisturiser is to die for. The smell is gorgeous – can’t get enough!!
On Fridays at PP HQ we have team pizzas. What’s your favourite topping?
Keeping it real with the classic Margarita!
How did you get your job?
I actually got my job through my best friends mum (Jacqui, lovely CS manager), strange I know! I had just finished my A levels and was like a lost puppy in the world. I originally set out to be a portrait artist but I could not focus my full attention to it.
From starting in the warehouse, then moving over to customer service and eventually finding my way to marketing it has been a journey! I really did not expect to enjoy my time at PP as much as I have. I am never leaving!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to follow your career path?
I’m a big believer in destiny (real cheesy shh) but everything will fall into place eventually. A year ago, I never would have expected to be where I am today! All I would say is to put your entire effort into everything you do, even if things don’t go to plan, as long as you are motivated, it will all work out.
